AREAS
DIVORCE
Going through a divorce is one of the most difficult times in life. When households separate, it often puts a financial strain on the family, which can make the transition period even more challenging. Our office has the experience to help you through this difficult time. Our goals are to simplify the process, provide effective solutions, move quickly through the divorce process, and minimize the impact on families.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
In abusive relationships, it is common for people to feel paralyzed by the cycle of violence. There is hope to get yourself out of a dangerous or toxic situation. Our office has experience working with domestic violence victims in emergency situations to achieve the protective orders needed to keep them safe and secure.
CHILD CUSTODY
Whether you're involved in a Divorce or Paternity matter, if you have minor children, custody will be a top priority in your case. Our office is committed to helping our clients achieve orders that put children first and protect the parent-child relationship.
CHILD SUPPORT
Our office will work to secure the orders needed to ensure that your children are supported in both households in accordance with the law, and that both parents are held financially responsible for the children's expenses.
WRONGFUL RESTRAINING ORDER REQUESTS
Restraining orders can be a powerful tool in true domestic violence situations. Unfortunately, Restraining Orders are frequently misused to intimidate or gain an unfair advantage in family law matters. If you have been wrongfully accused of perpetrating violence, our office has the experience to defend you in the negotiation process and at trial.
ADOPTIONS
Adopting a child is one of the most rewarding acts in life. The adoption process is unlike other areas of law, and it is crucial to have representation that truly understands how to move your case forward. Our office has extensive experience finalizing adoptions for Stepparents, Relative Caregivers, Foster Families, and NREFMs.
GUARDIANSHIP
Guardianships are frequently used to give caregivers the legal authority needed to care for children when, for whatever reason, parents are not available to do so. Our office has experience establishing guardianships, so caregivers are able to manage the children's education, medical, therapy, and other needs.
CONSERVATORSHIPS
If you have a loved one who has limited capacity due to a physical condition, mental condition, or old age, it may be appropriate to have a conservator appointed. Our office can assist you with the process to secure the powers that are needed to manage your loved one's medical decisions and financial affairs.
